#SoCoATX is what I like to think of, as the heart of Austin. If you want to get a rough sketch of the #AustinTX vibe, hit #SouthCongress and it’ll sum us up. From restaurants like #Perlas to #Gueros to shops like #Maufrais and #AllensBoots to the #SocoHotel, there are endless people watching, places to shop and eat. Here’s the breakdown of this video: South Congress Hotel - is a modern space that was designed by architect Michael Hsu, with 3 restaurants, a beautiful lobby bar, a coffee shop, as well as a beautiful rooftop pool with a killer view of hotel’s aesthetic is sleek and simple with leather couches, wooden floors and furniture in the suites creating a Southwestern vibe. Instagram: @southcongresshotel San Jose Hotel - Guests can escape from the hustle and bustle of South Congress into a stunning, minimalist space with concrete floors and a serene ambiance. The entrance is right off the SoCo sidewalk, but it’s easily missed because the wall of ivy facing the street creates total privacy. They also have a zen-like bar, patio, and pool area, serving specially crafted cocktails and arguably the best Micheladas in town. Instagram: @hotelsanjose Perla’s is an upscale seafood restaurant with a gorgeous outdoor patio that’s shaded by a giant Live Oak tree with twinkly lights adding to the dreamy ambiance. #Perlas - the place to go if you’re craving ceviche and oysters, or any other seafood that is flown in fresh from both coasts. The bar makes delicious coastal cocktails and the wine list is stocked with fun sparkling, rosé & white wines. Great people watching as the outdoor dining area is right on the sidewalk out front, so you can watch all the shoppers and visitors strolling by. You’ll also want to check out the Oak Garden Stage next door, where you’ll find a relaxed, tree-shaded patio with a dedicated bar and free live music almost every night of the week.
