Would You Believe It? No. 5 (1934)

Titles read: “Would you believe it? No. 5. Queer things the world over.“ Various locations of events. In Crowland, Lincolnshire, we see various shots of a ruined abbey. Part of the abbey is used for services as the parish church. In London we see C/U of traffic lights changing from ’Stop’ to amber to ’Go’. Brief shot of bus moving off after the lights change in the city. We then see various shots of the traffic light system in an Italian city. C/U of their traffic lights show that instead of an amber light, they show small squares of light counting down until the lights change. In North Africa we see shots of a local family outside their tent near the Atlas Mountains. Another “primitive dwelling“ is seen - probably in Africa again. Commentator opines that it is “not much better than the last, is it? At any rate it’s raised from the ground - maybe they think that’s a modern improvement“. M/S of a building jutting out over the side of a steep hill. It is supported by struts sticking up
