Bermondsey, London World War One; home front. Rationing of coal during the ’Coal Famine’. Film of distribution site in Bermondsey; England; where supplies are distributed free to poor people. Line of people stand at right FG; and through a door one can see people get sacks filled; sign on building about coal. First a young boy; then a woman drag sack out of the building and away. Woman heaves big bag onto a pram / pushchair; starts to push it; then she either waves or makes a salute-type gesture.
