The US Army is preparing for the final test of its augmented reality devices in 2024. The device aims to improve shooting and navigation and uses soldier-built applications. Named the IVAS, it is a helmet-mounted combined night vision/thermal augmented reality and situational awareness tool. The IVAS is based on Microsoft’s HoloLens augmented reality device.
