JUMP FURTHER WITH THIS DYNAMIC TAKE-OFF DRILL #sprintshorts

This take-off drill is great for really sharpening your take-off. Doing it on the run-up, with the aim being to complete the final jump into the pit, can rally make the jumper “go for it“. Take a 6-8 step approach and aim for 3-4 take-off before going into the pit (it’s one step between, but the drill can also be done with three). It may take a few practise efforts to get the right spacing, so that the final effort is made into the pit. However, once you know where to start you won’t have to worry about that again (make a record of the starting place). Technical Tips Swing free thigh up and away and hold Try to block front arm at eye-level Move quickly from each landing into the next take-off Really attack each take-off and try to accelerate throughout the drill Do: 3 on each leg I have deliberately included some efforts from the jumpers in my group which are not perfect. We see too many perfect efforts on social media - which is of course important. Howeve
