Opening to Dr. Strangelove 1992 Criterion LaserDisc

One of the best comedies ever made. The Criterion release is missing something on all other US prints of the film; a text prologue stating that the United States Air Force has measures to prevent events such as the ones depicted in the film. Funny story is that the USAF saw early drafts of the “Strangelove“ script and wrote it off as just a comedy. Then late in scripting the famous Coca Cola machine scene (where Peter Sellers has to use a pay phone to get in contact with the president) was added. This freaked the USAF out a bit, as no fail-safe was in place such a situation occur, and they demanded a disclaimer be added when they found a solution. 1) Criterion logo 2) RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video logo 3) Columbia Pictures logo 4) Prologue 5) Opening credits
