Bouncing down your bass is an excellent strategy to build variation in your music from existing material. Some opportunities open up that otherwise wouldn’t.
🎼 Reverse It
Once bounced down, your can reverse your audio loop to get a new source of constant to pick from. Harder to execute in MIDI Mode, and you can create wubs/hits out of this
🖥 Timestretch
This is one you can’t do in a synth and can lead to exciting results as you stretch the sample out, keeping its original integrity as best as possible or allowing the sound to get mangled. With some extra love, it can create epic C moments
🧠 Mentality Mind Change
As a sound designer that specialized in Synths I’m always looking to move and shift knobs in them however doing a drum and bass pack has shown me the possibility of processing and resampling which opens up new doors to crazier sounds you can’t achieve with just a synth
☄️Stutters
Easier to mangle the audio into stutter
