How to make a Spherical Kumiko Lamp // Woodworking Tutorial

This video shows how to make a spherical kumiko lamp using wood, mulberry paper, and an off-the-shelf lamp base. I have had this concept of making 3 dimensional kumiko for a while, and I humbly believe I knocked it out of the park with this spherical kumiko lamp! I haven’t seen another kumiko lamp or really any other kumiko project like it, so I really was on my own with the construction, and I’m a little surprised that it totally worked out to plan! But it did, and it’s beautiful, and now I can’t stop staring at it.
