Skaters’ Waltz (1930)

The Skaters’ Waltz is demonstrated by Santos Casani and Jose Lennard, the famous teachers of ballroom dancing. “The Skaters’ Waltz is likely to revive old-time memories and melodies, for it is danced to the old-fashioned waltz time“, said Santos Casani.“ L/S of four couples dancing in a parlour setting - probably the Pathe Studio. Steps are described in intertitles then demonstrated by Santos and Jose. We see their feet in C/U as they dance. The male steps are shown in detail. Alberto and Sylvia - the “Charleston Babies“ are seen dancing the Skaters’ Waltz along with other couples.
