Restoration Old Rusty Bayonet K98

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I found this old rusty Mauser bayonet K98 at flea market. The condition of the knife was very bad. I’m sure it’s been in the ground for a very long time. The bayonet was completely covered with deep potholes and pits due to the high level of rust. The scabbard and suspension were also missing. But I’m ready to restore it. Restoration process: No object has been so long in the rust and dirt removal fluid as this bayonet knife. Then I washed it and left it in the oil for a long time. But this did not help to unscrew the bolts and nuts. With a drill, I removed the old bolts, opening the handle inside the hit sink plate. I used tin to fill the big holes in it. The bakelite handle pads were in good condition.  After with angle grinder machine and iron brushes I cleaned some dirty place and patina from a knife.
