I was curious to find out how fast (or slow!) my race prepared Peugeot 206 Gti 180 is compared to full blown, balls out, British Touring Car. And what better car to choose than the pole position sitter at Snetterton 300 last year than Colin Turkington’s BMW 330e M Sport! My 206 is worth about £5,000 and is great fun to drive. It’s a standard engine, with a few little mods here and there to improve the handling and drivability. But it’s stock power. How much is a BMW 330e M Sport worth? The £250,000 figure comes from an estimated price f the latest gen of British Touring car. It was meant to be £100,000 but they think the cars are more like over £200K without their £25K engines. There’s obviously loads more cost on top to run a BTCC car but actual value of the machine itself, I think it’s about £250K. If you think differently, leave me a comment! So, now to the lap.
