Industrial Light & Magic were the VFX studio who took on the huge technical challenge. You can take a deeper look at how they achieved their de-aged results here: We created a data set containing 10,000 images of Robert Deniros face sourced from some of his early movies including Casino, Good Fellas, A Bronx Tale and many more. Using this data set, we can use the power of deep fake technology to accurately transfer the “look“ of a young Deniro onto the de-aged face in The Irishman.
