Join SFU Archaeology in welcoming George Nicholas as our Seminar Presenter on Thursday, November 26 2020 Dr. George Nicholas developed SFU’s Indigenous Archaeology Program in Kamloops (1991-2005), and was the director of the IPinCH Project (Intellectual Property Issues in Cultural Heritage: Theory, Practice, Policy), a major international research initiative co-developed with Dr. Julie Hollowell (Indiana University) and Dr. Kelly Bannister (University of Victoria), funded by SSHRCs MCRI program ( ). He is currently a member of the (NSF-funded) “aDNA Ethics Project: The Ethics of Studying Indigenous North American Ancient DNA: Moving from Theories to Practices.“ (). Dr. Nicholas is a professor in the Department of Archaeology at SFU.
