From KLB’s Love Songs & Life Lines Recording: A Note from Kris: For a few weeks out of the year this beautiful magnolia tree in my front yard comes to life. One particular day, while in full bloom, I was looking out of my front window. My guitar was strapped on my back and my mind kept drifting to thoughts of my father, who had recently passed away. I always wanted to write a song for my old man, but never quite found the words. Now that he passed I couldn’t stop writing about him. It was a long winter full of some hard days and long nights. And while I was still very much grieving the spring and this blossoming magnolia somehow brought some much needed comfort.
