Most people know him for the series of concerti ‘Le Quattro Stagioni’ (The Four Season), however, he composed more than 500 concerti (about 230 for violin), 46 operas, sacred music and sonatas. Most of his concerto were made of 3 movements, with the first and third allegro, while the middle one was usually a slower movement such as largo, adagio or andante. In this playlist I have selected 9 of the most beautiful and famous Vivaldi’s violin concertos, from the Four Seasons and L’Estro Armonico.
