As the opening of Bach’s masterwork, The Well-Tempered Clavier, the Prelude in C major develops a simple texture of ascending arpeggios that evolve across various keys that eventually reach a dominant pedal point that is resolved into the tonic. In this performance, I improvised a melodic line on top of Bach harmony bringing some new ideas on top of the well-known chord progression. If you enjoyed this performance, leave a comment suggesting other pieces that could be played in a similar way for future videos.
