I created this video to express the importance of character dance in one’s classical training. This is a form of dance that has been lost and been rid of in North America over the years. It is very rare that you find character as part of one’s classical training nowadays. The only true form of character training that I have received is at The Bolshoi Ballet Academy. In Russia character is still important and vital to dancer’s training and performance.
