From the film - The Girl Can’t Help It, (1956) directed by Frank Tashlin. Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps recording of “Be-Bop-a-Lula“
Unfortunately most of this precious film recording of Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps seems to have gone on the proverbial cutting room floor when they edited The Girl Can’t Help It movie. In my video I’ve had to cover the blank spaces with scenes from elsewhere in the film. Who knows? the originally filmed footage of Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps performing Be-Bop-a-Lula (with no cutaways) may still be in existence somewhere. It’s also time that this hugely influential and highly entertaining movie was released to the general public on Blu-ray, in fully restored condition.
