Afghanistan: Hundreds swarm Kabul runway as US plane evacuates people following Taliban takeover

Hundreds of Afghans swarmed and climbed onboard a United Air Force aircraft on a runway in a desperate effort to leave Kabul. Video recorded at the airport shows complete chaos across tarmac as Afghans leapt to grab onto the craft and block its path. Children can be seen in the clips. Thousands of Afghans travelled to Kabul’s airport overnight as they tried to escape the Taliban, who now claim to have complete control of the country.
