In 1941, a young 20 year old woman was brought to her execution at the hands of Axis soldiers inside of Yugoslavia. Lili Böhm’s crime was carrying a pistol and she was condemned for the fact she was also a member of a resistance group. Her execution was carried out in front of a huge crowd so that a message could be sent to others not to rise up against the occupation forces.
