How to make Elemental Bromine

In this video, bromine is made from easily obtainable pool supplies and muriatic acid (HCl). The purpose of this video was to show how easily bromine can be made from household items. The yield was around 75%. However, the amount of HCl used was much less than stoichiometric. I thought that this would reduce the possibility of HCl contamination in the final bromine product.
