️ Passengers will be offered to check in their luggage at the airport themselves Anyone who flies by air has probably experienced kilometre-long queues to check-in for a flight and then to drop off their suitcases. And if you can still get your boarding pass electronically, you often have problems with your luggage. The International Association of Airports (which unites the largest Russian airports) has proposed an innovation: to install special equipment that will read the weight and dimensions of your belongings and register them. Such a system is already in use in Ekaterinburg, where there are special kiosks. You just need to follow the instructions and in the next few minutes your suitcase will be sent to the landing strip. The service is still at the testing stage, so passengers are helped by a counsellor. Do you think it will save time or increase the risk of losing luggage? Source: Global News (EU, USA)
