Once he successfully hit with his Spinning Shield, he can perform the move over and over without the opponent being able to do anything. Thus, you can simply spam the move until you reach Motaro and Shao Khan, since the bosses will simply be pushed back after getting hit. His Diving Kick is also excellent during juggling, as he can intentionally avoid his opponent, but then hit him with a standing low punch and resume the juggle. His hat throw is good to catch opponents that are about to jump. Lastly, his teleport will often be countered and not used often. As a side note, Kung Lao’s Brutality is bugged when performed in the corner. It is caused by the fact that he moves very fast during the move and push the character many times. If done in the corner, he can’t push him further and will go through him, stopping the Brutality in the process but causing him to immediately win. This bug is also present in the UMK3 port that had Brutality (The Super NES and Sega Genesis version).
