Explore how American watercolorists from Winslow Homer to Hannah Wilke leveraged the imaginative and experimental capacity of the medium to create marvelously diverse works over more than a century. This exhibition presents 100 compelling and rarely seen watercolors by well-known and historically underrepresented American artists. Described as “…a deep and dazzling showcase of more than 100 pieces“ by the Boston Globe, “American Watercolors, 1880–1990: Into the Light” is on view at the Harvard Art Museums until August 13, 2023.
