The sixth track from the album “Ride the Lightning“ released in 1986. “Ride the Lightning“ is the second studio album by the thrash metal band Metallica, released on July 27, 1984 on Megaforce Records and re—released by Elektra Records on November 16, 1984. The cover depicts an electric chair surrounded by lightning bolts emanating from the band’s logo. The name was borrowed from Stephen King’s novel “Confrontation“; the expression “to ride lightning“ means “to be executed in the electric chair“. Metallica performed this song live only once, at the Orion Music More Festival in 2012, where Ride the Lightning was played by the musicians in its entirety. The video was taken from a concert in Moscow in 2019.
