Broken Neck Blues (Garageband Beat)

I made this beat several weeks ago on Garageband. It’s my first attempt at composing a song mostly out of samples that I’ve sped up, slowed down and adjusted in tone for compatibility. I think it turned out nicely. I pulled from a pretty wide range of genres for this track; I also programed in some bass, piano, horn and high hat lines. The samples are as follows: Drums: Jack McDuff, “Hunk O’ Funk,“ Blue Note Rare Grooves Main Horn Riff: Charles Mingus, “Once Upon A Time, There Was A Holding Corporation Called Old America (2nd False Start),“ At UCLA 1965 Spoken Intro and Outro: Lightnin’ Hopkins, “My Thoughts On The Blues,“ The Complete Prestige-Bluesville Recordings (Disc 7) Chorus: The Band, “The Weight,“ Music From Big Pink Let me know what you think!
