The Double Propeller Woolly Bugger Fly Pattern Tutorial
When I was watching the instructional DVD that came with the Norvise Rotary Vise, Norm talked about a problem with tying hackle on Woolly Buggers that I want to test this summer. He said that everyone palmers up or down which creates a turbine causing the Bugger to spin and twist your line/tippet just like a propeller. He advised to go down the shank and then back up creating a double propeller and thus causing the bugger or fly not to spiral, but rather as intended.
