Cheech & Chong sing Ballad of a Mexican American

GREAT MOMENTS IN CHICANO HISTORY 1973 Edition Cheech and Chong release their landmark comedy record ‘Los Cochinos.’ This 1973 album featured the now legendary sketches ‘Sargent Stadanko’, ‘Pedro and Man At the Drive-Inn’ and ‘Basketball Jones’. Their backing band was filled with the best session players of the era and included George Harrison, Carole King, and Billy Preston. Sargent Stadanko, played by Stacy Keach, was a main character in Cheech and Chong’s 1978 film debut, ‘Up In Smoke.’ In this clip, the stoned duo are practicing for the upcoming Battle of the Bands.
