Odsherred Summer Lights

Summer is a very special season in Denmark. Nights are never really dark, giving birth to an endless twilight and the opportunity to witness very special light phenomena. Odsherred Geopark is one of the few rare places in the country that gives a picturesque atmosphere to the frame and enables us to stay up all night, gazing at the sky. It is where landscape meets the heavens, and it is not for nothing that the region’s motto is ’Landskaber, lyset og livet’, meaning literally ’landscape, light and life’. The vistas of this area reveal truly mesmerizing sheds of colors and lights, as if directly derived from prehistoric times. Rolling hills, milky way in a starry night, noctilucent clouds during the bright nights, Viking grave mounts, sea reflecting the northern lights or the sun rising and setting on the baltic sea.
