Aerial Images of Indonesia Floods Forcing Thousands to Flee Homes

▶️ At least one person is dead and thousands have been temporarily displaced as heavy flooding hits Indonesia’s Sumatra island. 👉Four days of intense rainfall triggered the floods in Aceh province, according to Indonesia’s disaster mitigation agency. Local administrations have declared a 14-day emergency. Temporary shelters have been set up at different locations to accommodate those whose homes are underwater. Fatal landslides and flash floods are common across the Southeast Asian archipelago during the rainy season, which started in September.
