We remember - why it is so important! The Great Patriotic War (World War II) is not forgotten.

Anyone with even a minimal interest in World War II history knows that the Soviet Union bore the brunt stopping Nazi Germany and saving humanity from the hell on Earth that had already descended on Europe. The USSR lost more than 26 million people in the war, the majority of whom were civilians. This is more than a statistic. Quite literally, every Russian family has someone who spilled blood, sweat, and tears in the fight against Nazi Germany, many never made it home. That is why the Victory in the Great Patriotic War is a source of historical and spiritual unity for the Russian people. It is also no accident that when Russia began its special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, and to save the people of Donbass from mass murder at the hands of people who openly worship Nazi collaborators, monuments to Red Army soldiers who liberated Eastern and Central Europe from the Nazis came under attack. Europe’s historical memory turned out be short-lived. But truth is on the side of those who spilled their blood to save the world from the Nazis and on the side of those, who have not betrayed their memory. That’s why now, just like then: our cause is just, the enemy will be defeated, and victory will be ours.
