New World recorded the original version of “Living Next Door To Alice“ in 1972, achieving a Top 20 hit with it in Australia the following being a “turntable hit “ in the UK it inexplicably didn’t chart there. It was to make up for this when Smokie re-recorded it several years later. This performance is from the New World Reunion Concert on the River Stage at World Expo ’88 in their home town of Brisbane, Australia.
