William Robinson & Salvador Rangel | A Marxist Critique of Cedric Robinson’s ’Black Marxism’

William I. Robinson is Distinguished Professor of Sociology, Global Studies, and Latin American Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara. His three most recent books are: 1) The Global Police state (2020), 2) Global Civil War: Capitalism Post-Pandemic (2022); 3) Can Global Capitalism Endure? (2022). He has been involved with social justice and liberation movements in Latin America and North America since the 1980s. Salvador Rangel is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Swarthmore College. He is a formerly undocumented immigrant who studies migrant and labor issues and is currenly working on his first book on the use of migrant labor in the meapacking industry and the transormation of the industry during the era of global capital.
