Irish politician and European Member of Parliament Clare Daly is an outspoken, passionate and devoted advocate for peace who has consistently called for the tamping down of aggression in Ukraine and a negotiated settlement to end the hostilities and bloodshed. For that she has of course been smeared as a Putin puppet, an “appeaser” and a dupe. But she’s sticking to her guns, most recently making a speech to the European Parliament excoriating many of her colleagues as vicious warmongers manufacturing consent for a conflict that no one really wants.
