Шаурма в Кабуле / Shawarma cooking in Kabul

Shawarma (or shaurma, shawerma, shwarma, also döner kebap, yufka) is a newer variety of street food in Afghanistan. Recipe is more influenced by Hindustani cuisine of India and Pakistan, the sauce is spicy aromatic and pleasant, moderately hot. The bread (sort of pita) is thick (but soft), small in diameter, so some wrapper is needed to keep it firm – usually that’s Korean newspapers which are imported into Afghanistan in bulk. For now Afghan shawarma is my favourite variety, i only can equally appreciate B
