Johnny Depp | Five

Johnny Depp unveils ‘Five’, an intimate self-portrait to be sold as a time-limited edition on sale for 13 days only, the edition is available to buy from Castle Fine Art, the UK’s leading art retailer. This image captures the emotional exhaustion Johnny was feeling when he completed it in 2021, as he was about to enter the fifth year of a very difficult period of his life. He added the “five” tally-mark in recognition of this moment in time. The original reference for the art is a still from a shoot for Dior’s ‘Sauvage’, directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino. Johnny chose this particular image in honour of Dior and the loyalty they’ve always shown him. “If the piece resonates with even just one person, this art has purpose.“ - Johnny Depp. A self-portrait acts as a mirror, and a window to give thought to our own mental health and the health of those around us. In turn, for every artwork sold, $200 will go directly to Mental Health America.
