The First Ever Photographs taken of the Ka’ba [Mecca] & Medina 1861-1881 by Muhammad Sadiq Bey

Howdy ya’ll. Let’s look at some incredible 19th century photographs, said to be the first ever taken in the Muslim Holy Land. The Kaaba, Ka’ba, or Ka’bah is a stone building at the center of Muslim’s most important mosque in Mecca, and was photographed for the first time in the mid 1800’s by Muhammad Sadiq Bey. We will look at these oldest photographs of Mecca, Medina, and The Hajj, as attributed to Sadiq from the years 1861 through 1881.
