And yet the life of an artist such as him can be one filled with many unique hardships, rife with self-doubt. _“If Kaveh were a sculpture, he would be one that appeared all but flawless, but which would suffer utter destruction if the weak point in its core were to be found.“_ Kaveh is seen as a perfect protégé of his craft; a bright and brilliant man of many accomplishments worthy of respect. And yet, Kaveh is a someone who carries immeasurable guilt for things he had no control over in the past. He was only a child after all, and having his family ripped apart by misfortune is a kind of wound that takes a lot of time to heal. Receiving the goodwill of others doesn’t feel deserved for him, he places his own emotions at a lesser significance than others. Such things are heavy weights to carry by oneself. I imagine he feels quite tired on the inside. I think beauty and art are things he finds comfort & understanding in. The ability to truly lose himself in his own passions is something I think he’s been wanting to replicate ever since his fall into the stresses of life. He seems like he’s still navigating many parts of himself, trying to gain closure for a past he hasn’t quite been able to face for many, many years. And that’s okay. It’s okay to be an ever-feeling, ever-seeking person. Everyone’s life journey is different and unique to itself. But it’s important to have others to lean on. Which is why I think Alhaitham & Kaveh are wonderful together. (Platonically or otherwise. I don’t really care about shipping unless it’s canon but are perfect together). They compliment each other marvelously and Alhaitham is one of the few people, if not the ONLY person who truly understands the extent of Kaveh’s burdens. Just as Kaveh is one of the few people who truly has a grasp on Alhaitham’s mannerisms and personality. That sort of understanding between two people is innately intimate. It is irreplaceable & priceless. Don’t even me started about why I think Alhaitham is such a misunderstood character in regard to his relationship with Kaveh.
