Putin Hails Russia-China Relations as ’Guarantor of Stability’

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of spoiling the relations with Russia by neglecting its interests. Speaking at his year-end press conference, Putin praised the Russian-Chinese relations calling them “one of the essential guarantors of stability in the world.” “We see attempts by the West to switch NATO activities to Asia, which clearly goes beyond the statutory goals of this organization,” he added. “What we see from the West is that they are trying to be friends against someone. We are closely monitoring this and will jointly respond in a timely and effective manner.
