Alec R. Costandinos Vol. 2: Sphinx [Full Album] (1977)

No sooner had Alec R. Costandinos completed his first album with Love And Kisses in March 1977, before he was back in the studio in April for this immaculate album with a Biblical theme, Judas Iscariot / Simon Peter, and a grand production featuring the Ambrosian Singers. It was released in France in July 1977, with import copies already flooding the American market, but despite following hot on the heels of the phenomenal success of his Love And Kisses album, Sphinx went largely unnoticed. Casablanca had scheduled to release it in mid-August that year, then postponed it to November. It would, however, not be released before late February 1978 where it sank into oblivion. It has since rightfully been acknowledged as a masterpiece by disco connoisseurs. 00:01 Judas Iscariot 19:00 Simon Peter
