Bjarla - Karjala

Introducing the new single! Karjala is a unique area with incredibly beautiful nature and rich history. Many Karelians still honor ancient traditions and customs. And one of these customs is the rite of raising the lembi (North Karelian version-lempi). This concept can be described as desirability, success, charm, passion, love, good fame, chastity. Lempi was raised for both men and women, mainly with the aim of becoming attractive to individuals of the opposite sex. This was done with the help of conspiracies, during which the sorcerer fanned the person who wanted with a special broom. Or by wearing various amulets, including shrew paws, bear claw, etc. The text of this single reads a variation of this Karelian rite. Therefore, sing with us! Let’s raise lempi to the glory of the majestic area Karjala! 🌲 Anton Marchuk - music, guitars, mandolin, balalaika, bass, lyre, jew’s-harp, samples; Poison Ivy - vocals. Mixing and mastering - Alexey Stetsyuk. Recording of all instruments and vocals - TASHIO prod.
