The conducting competition of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival With the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and the conductors: Marc Albrecht, Marin Alsop, Flavio Chamis, Sören Eckhoff, Jeffrey Goldberg, Oliver Holt, Steven Mercurio, Arthur Post, Carlos Spierer, Matthew Taylor, Stefan Tetzlaff and Leonard Bernstein. Eleven young conductors applied to take part in a conducting course led by Leonard Bernstein in Salzau.
