Black Sea Fleet FPV Drone Operators Train to Destroy Unmanned Boats

Black Sea Fleet FPV Drone Operators Train to Destroy Unmanned Boats The Black Sea Fleet is conducting training for FPV drone operators from mobile groups of units to combat unmanned boats. Combat training takes place while out at sea on board patrol boats, which significantly complicates the operator’s task of controlling the FPV drone and searching for a sea target. In particular, when the drone returns after detecting a target, it is necessary to calculate the direction and speed of both the patrol boat and air currents. In turn, the operators controlling the unmanned boat actively maneuver, changing course and speed, which makes it as difficult as possible for FPV drone operators to find and approach the target. To develop practical skills for FPV drone operators during training, a captured Ukrainian-made unmanned boat, the Magura, was used as a target. Join Military Wave Source: Military Wave
