Restoration & Repair of broken Xbox 360 and Fix The Red Ring of Death - ASMR

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Restoring the Original Xbox 360 Controller ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video, I repair an Xbox 360 that suffers from the infamous Red Ring of Death (RROD). While this is a well-documented issue I was surprised at the lack of quality repair tutorials targeting DIYers. Most “reflow“ videos are silly hacks (like wrapping your Xbox 360 in a towel) and even tutorials that suggest using a heat gun leaves a lot to be desired. For example, I didn’t I think there can be a version of an at-home RROD repair that uses simple tools that anyone can follow, resulting in a permanent fix. To repair the red ring of death I used a heat gun according to I set it up to 400 degrees Celsius. I’m starting by warming up the back of the motherboard for about one minute. The chips can be damaged by heat also so it’s important to move the heat gun around. three inches away from the board the constant motion at this distance isn’t going to melt anything on this large of a surface area. You should avoid the capacitors so that they don’t get any direct heat. After the initial warm-up, I applied flux which will help the reflow of the solder joints. Unfortunately, I did not install the CPU heat sink correctly, I realized this mistake later after I finished the video so I corrected it after the video This video shows you everything you need to know about taking apart your Xbox 360. Since this system isn’t the newest on the market anymore, it’s cheaper to replace the parts yourself than it is to send them in for repairs.
