Italia Aka Mussolini Lays Foundation Stone For New Building Site (1930)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Italian title reads: “Italia - Littoria“ Italian voiceover. Littoria, Italy. Site for homes for veterans. Benito Mussolini walks down a row of supporters in civilian clothes. He exchanges a fascist salute with some of them. Pan along row of men (they look pretty scruffy and rough, I think the voiceover suggests that they may be veterans). Shots of several of the men wearing parts of their old army uniforms. Il Duce looks over the plans of what appears to be a new development being built to house the men. A priest sprinkles holy water on the foundation stone to bless it. The men raise their arms in salute. Mussolini puts mortar onto the stone. It is then lowered into position. Mussolini strides past the men as they cheer and salute. Mussolini, now in shirt sleeves, looks over the site from a high vantage point. The men shout their support. Good CUs of the pride on the men’s faces as they gaze at ’Il Duce’. Mussolini goes
