The Selecter is an English skaband featuring singer Pauline Black (. Belinda Vickers, born as Belinda Magnus). They are one of the most prominent bands of the ‘ska’ wave that hit England in 1979, together with bands like Madness and The Specials. Their biggest hits were ’On My Radio’ and ’Missing Words’ who served as an inspiration to artists like Gwen Stefani. ’Missing Words’ was recorded for TopPop on 24 March 1980.
