“Revisions“ | Behringer Crave + Cassette | Generative Ambient

Having been kept away from music for a little bit, I took the opportunity to mess around with recording Crave to tape for this first time yesterday. The video isn’t directly related to the audio in this one, I filmed it while recording the original Crave patch onto the cassette, but then the audio is played back slowed and with effects so the video loops a bit messily. But it gives something to look at haha xD The Crave patch is quite simple with: VCF out - LFO rate Square LFO - Tempo The the arpeggiator is going in random mode. The LFO rate being modulated by the VCF gives for some interesting, weird FM waveforms which change the tempo somewhat randomly. The cassette recorder is the Sony TCM-20DV Then the cassette is played back into DAW, slowed as far is it can on the recorder. It’s recorded onto 2 tracks simultaneously. One has a reverb from Valhalla Supermassive with the signal fully wet, the other is at 50% with a delay from Valhalla Supermassive. Than
