Lolo Zouaï - Galipette (Live Session) | Vevo Ctrl

Lolo Zouaï - Galipette - Live Session | Vevo Ctrl. For all you non-francophones out there, Lolo Zouai’s “Galipette” is a shortening of the slang phrase “faires des galipettes.” Basically, it means “fooling around,” with a slightly nastier connotation. The French-Algerian badass, who charmed us when she rolled through our DSCVR studios back in the summer of ‘19, has staked her career on singing in both English and her parents’ native language. It’s worked. Spotify shows Zouaï’s most popular city is Paris, followed by the three biggest US metros. By any measure, popularity levels look poised to rocket next spring when the “High Highs to Low Lows” singer opens for Dua Lipa, one of pop’s hottest stars. Will she still be sporting the Harley Quinn of the Arrondissements look from her “Galipette” video by then? Will that vid get any less spooky after repeated viewings? Will that poor teddy bear in this Ctrl performance ever get hugged again? Only time will tell. Watch videos by Lolo Zoua&
