Israeli Gaza ground operation creating civilian losses would be “absolutely unacceptable“: Putin
Speaking from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed concern that an Israeli ground operation in Gaza would cause civilian casualties, which he deemed “absolutely unacceptable.“
He emphasized the serious consequences of using heavy weaponry in residential areas and said, “Now the main thing is to stop the bloodshed.“
Putin also compared Israel’s blockade of Gaza to Nazi Germany’s siege of Leningrad and called for a peaceful resolution through mediation.
Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, marking his first foreign trip since the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for him in March.
