Drum Lesson: Hand Techniques For Speed & Control (Part 1 of 2)

Here is the link to PART 2: This two part video drum lesson demonstrates hand techniques that start at the beginner level and will go through intermediate and advanced levels. These techniques are designed to help you achieve speed, control, dynamics and endurance while allowing you to stay relaxed and injury free. PART 1 will focus on: balance point, grip, rebound, wrist finger control, dynamics (ghost notes through power strokes) and more. PART 2 will focus on multi bounce strokes such as Push-Pull, Moeller techniques for playing three note bounces per hand (to achieve 16th note triplets) as well as four note bounces per hand (to achieve 32nd notes), timing, endurance exercises and more. These are techniques that I learned from studying with master drum teacher Chuck Brown. Thanks Chuck!
